Trader Revival Account: How It Works, Settlement, and FAQ

Summary

The Trader Revival Account (TRA) is a loss recovery mechanism built into Antarctic. When your trading finishes a settlement cycle with a net loss, Antarctic funds half of that loss into a separate account that you can trade with. This page explains how the account is created, who qualifies, how settlement and profit withdrawal work, and answers the questions traders ask most often.

What Is the Trader Revival Account?

The Trader Revival Account is a standing feature of Antarctic. Participation starts with a one-time activation on the TRA page, where you join and bind your Twitter and email. After activation, no further application is needed: if you trade with real funds and finish a settlement cycle with a qualifying net loss, the account is created and funded automatically. Trading before activation does not count toward the cycle. If you break even or finish the cycle in profit, no account is issued for that cycle.

The Trader Revival Account is Antarctic’s built-in on-chain prop firm: the exchange provides the capital, you trade it, and you keep the profit you make. Unlike a traditional prop firm, there is no purchase and no challenge fee. The account is funded automatically from your own trading record. For how that compares with paid evaluations and other funding models, see on-chain prop firms vs exchange-funded trading accounts.

How Does the Trader Revival Account Work?

Antarctic calculates your net profit and loss on a fixed 14-day cycle (UTC+0). The calculation includes trading fees and funding costs. If your net result for the cycle is negative, Antarctic credits 50% of that net loss into a Revival Account.

The Revival Account holds capital that you can use to trade perpetual contracts. This capital is provided by Antarctic and remains in the account as principal. You cannot withdraw the principal, and you cannot deposit your own funds into the account. Only the profit you generate through trading is eligible for withdrawal.

Who Qualifies for a Revival Account?

Not every losing position qualifies for a Revival Account. To be eligible, your activity over the cycle must meet a minimum of 7 calendar days, 10 completed trades, and activity across at least 2 contract pairs. A single trade that ends in liquidation does not qualify. Qualification is based on your net profit and loss for the cycle, with fees and funding costs included.

Account Validity and Settlement

The Trader Revival Account runs on a 28-day cycle divided into two 14-day periods. The first 14 days are your regular trading period: Antarctic calculates your net profit and loss over this period, and a qualifying net loss funds a Revival Account. The following 14 days are the Revival Account trading period. A Revival Account is valid for 14 days from the date it is created.

Settlement is automatic. At the end of the 14-day Revival Account period, the account is settled and any withdrawable profit is paid out automatically. Settlement can also occur earlier in two cases: automatically, when the account balance reaches twice the funded amount, or on request, when you apply for early settlement at a balance of 5,000 USDT or above. The amount you receive depends on the account balance at the point of settlement.

How Does Profit Withdrawal Work?

The funded principal is not withdrawable. Only the profit you generate through trading is eligible for withdrawal. At settlement, your withdrawable profit is your Revival Account balance minus the funded amount, up to a maximum of the funded amount. If your balance is at or below the funded amount, there is no withdrawable profit.

Example: The funded amount is 100 USDT. Your Revival Account balance at settlement is 170 USDT. Your withdrawable profit is 170 minus 100, which is 70 USDT. If your balance reaches 200 USDT or more, your withdrawable profit is capped at 100 USDT.

Profit withdrawals are paid only to the original on-chain deposit address associated with your account.

Do Revival Account Trades Earn AX Points?

Yes. Revival Account activity counts toward your AX Points, and what a perp DEX points program actually measures explains why that design choice matters. Continuing to trade keeps your points accumulating. For how AX Points are earned and counted, refer to the AX Points page: https://www.antarctic.exchange/point-rankings

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to apply for a Revival Account?

You need a one-time activation: join on the TRA page and bind your Twitter and email. After that, there is no per-cycle application. If you finish a settlement cycle with a qualifying net loss, the account is created and funded automatically.

Can I deposit my own funds into the Revival Account?

No. The account is funded by Antarctic based on your net loss for the cycle. You cannot add to it.

Can I withdraw the funded principal?

No. The funded principal stays in the account and is not withdrawable. Only profit you generate through trading is eligible for withdrawal, subject to the settlement rules above.

Is the funding free money?

No. The funding is trading capital. What you can withdraw is the profit you make with it, up to a maximum of the funded amount. The funded principal itself is not withdrawable and stays with Antarctic.

Does a single liquidation qualify me for a Revival Account?

No. A single trade that ends in liquidation does not meet the eligibility requirements. You need a minimum of 7 calendar days, 10 completed trades, and activity across at least 2 contract pairs.

What can I trade in the Revival Account?

You can trade perpetual contracts only.

What happens when the account reaches the end of its 14-day period?

The account is settled automatically and any withdrawable profit is paid out automatically. Your payout depends on the account balance at that time. Refer to the settlement table above.

My Revival Account balance is 5,000 USDT or above. What can I do?

You can apply for early settlement without waiting for the end of the 14-day period.

Does Revival Account trading count toward AX Points?

Yes. Revival Account activity counts toward your AX Points. For details on how AX Points work, refer to the AX Points page: https://www.antarctic.exchange/point-rankings

When does the current cycle end?

For current timing and any schedule details, refer to the AX Points page and official Antarctic announcements.
